Paid Image Search

What is a Paid Image Search?

We hold over 26 million historical aerial photographs. Only a small proportion of these have been digitised and uploaded to our website.

All of our catalogued finding aids are available on our website. These allow you to search for, and identify, millions of aerial photographs which have not yet been digitised. To find aerial photography, Browse by Map to your area of interest and click 'See finding aids in this area'. You can examine these in detail with a website subscription.

If you do not wish to carry out a search yourself, you can ask us to search our catalogue on your behalf by requesting a Paid Image Search. A member of NCAP staff will conduct a search of our finding aids and provide you with a Search Report. We charge £30 (+VAT) per 20 minutes for this service. We always supply a quotation and require payment before starting a search. We may make an additional charge to provide a quotation for a search of a linear route or an area greater than 10 square kilometers. Quotations are valid for 30 days.

We do not carry out searches for images which are already available to view on our website.

Paid search requests must be submitted via our Paid Image Search order form.

We cannot undertake a search without detailed geographical and date-range information. For information on what we require, please consult our Paid Image Search guidelines.
